Thyroglobulin Antibodies (TgAb)

What it measures 

The second autoimmune thyroid marker. A meaningful proportion of Hashimoto's cases show elevated TgAb with normal TPO — testing one alone misses real diagnoses. Also used to monitor for thyroid cancer recurrence. 

Best for 

Anyone adding TPO antibodies to their test. The two should always be run together for a complete result. Also relevant for anyone with a previous thyroid condition or diagnosis.
